| With Sneyd likely to miss the Cas game, what are we thinking at in terms of options?
I guess we have as potentials Irwin to 7 with Ratchford staying at 14; Ratchford to 7 with Crowther or Harthill at 14 or moving Currie to 7.
Would be quite a statement to put 17 year Irwin in but a good sign for the future, either way be good to see one of Harthill or Irwin involved. Hayes it seems is still a few weeks off.

| I’d like to see Irwin, but it’s a risk. They are desperate and will be quite embarrassed by their last performance, so Ratchford makes sense as the steady candidate. But from what I’ve seen in the highlights (I don’t see many, because the club are hopeless at showing the reserve and junior grade stuff) he looks a genuine creative/dominant half back. Drip feeding him from now until the end of 2026 could see him take that 7 shirt off Sneyd at then end of his contract.
There is little merit in continuity in that 14 shirt, with Walker on the horizon after the week off, Powell takes that back. So this is an isolated case really.

| One thing that is certain is that Ratchford (if fit) will get a game this week. He's been a super player over the years. Coped well at half-back vs. Catalan and looks fine at dummy half. Not many like him about. Due to injuries he has played many more games than expected this year.

| I'd be amazed if he didn't go with Ratchford.
Either way, this is a banana skin.
We handed Huddersfield 2 points.
We did our best to hand Salford 2 points.
We gift wrapped 2 points and handed it to Catalans but they knocked it on.
Anyone seeing a trend?

| Most clubs if they had a 17 year old future superstar on their hands, would throw him in to a game they should win comfortably. But this is Warrington, so we'll be playing a 37 year old who won't be here next season.

We have put Aaron Lindop and Cai Taylor-Wray in the first team early last year so I don't think Warrington are against the idea. Unfortunately both of these are currently injured otherwise they would have played more games this year. Not sure how many clubs have given many games to 17 year old this season. Might be interesting to list a few from other clubs and see how many games they have played. How many are there? ... off the top of my head I can't think of any apart from Irwin (Warrington) vs. St Helens.

Why does it have to be this season?

Why does it have to be this season? So if we go to the previous season the only 17 year old I can think of was Aaron Lindop (Warrington) but there could be more I have not thought of. Have you got a few more?

| Can't see it being anyone other than Ratchford to be honest, tried and tested and causes virtually no disruption. Looking forward to Zack Gardner again, he just looked really good last week
