I was just having a browse through the Leeds boards trying to gauge their opinions on the outcome of the up and coming cc game against ourselves, especially after our dismal performance on Fri, when i stumbled across a Ryan Hall thread and a discussion which had developed on there comparing Ryan to Tom and who was the current No1 English winger.

Now the Leeds guys were siding with Ryan Hall, as naturally you would expect them too, however they were doing so without really backing or justifying their argument or opinions, apart from the odd comment of "Well that (Fridays Game) puts that argument to bed then". Quite....

Some one then posted the attached link with stats directly comparing the two over the 2011 season. Now i know stats dont necessarily represent iron clad evidence that one player is better or worse then another, but generally they can back up peoples thoughts and are an objective view is which every player is rated the same way allowing comparisons of people in the same position.

Now in my opinion the stats suggest that Tom is AT LEAST Ryan Halls equal, based on averages per games played etc which is then backed up with the slightly biased fact that I get to have the pleasure of watching Tom week in week out at the KC.

Funnily enough, after the link was posted on the Leeds board the debate quietened right down....

Now i know which i would rather have if it was a direct toss up between the two, but what are other peoples thoughts on it based on what they have seen of the two?....

As it happens i would quite like the see them both in a Hull shirt, particularly after seeing Halls kick returns against us on Friday!

I think you would struggle to find many Leeds fan who would think hall is better or worse than briscoe. They are both good sl wingers with different attributes.

Hall and briscoe are probably England's best wingers. I would love briscoe at Leeds as a centre or winger

Hmmm ironc post from you here pal as the pre game chat before Friday was all you lot in the Leeds away thread! Leeds fear us, we will beat them twice, they have nothing! So on and so on. Nobody is more awear than our own fans that Leeds have some big issues to resolve.

If you beat us big wow! We are both crap and poorly coached! I'm not concerned with Leeds results if I'm honest. I'm far more interested in the club getting back on the right track.

Here is a fact you have no chance of winning the cup even if you beat us. so really losing next week will do either team a favour in having a bit more energy to make the 8 which again is a waste of time as there is no chance of you winning the GF. Leeds have a bit more chance but not a lot.

I doubt there would be a coach in SL (or world rugby) who would sign hall in preference to briscoe
