Max got a 1 point with no fine so it can't be halved, whereas Mike M got a 1 point with a fine, so it can be halved. Seems a strange and complicated system.

I don't get this points system. 95% of these tackles are bad technique with no malice or intentions injure. The tackles are completed in a split second and often how the tackled player falls, can make the tackle look worse. Rather than punishing players and clubs both by bans and financially, order some sort of re-training. A little bit like getting a ticket for speeding- there isn't a driver on the road who hadn't broken the speed limit at one time or another and most offenders now are offered a speed awareness course.it works, I've done one!
