| It's getting silly now. It was a 50/50 that didn't go your way. The club needs to get over it.
As far the fans being magnificent, wow!

| No it wasn't.....it was a correct decision that wasn't given which cost us the match and a potential cup run/financial windfall.
And if clubs just continue to accept crap like this and just 'get over it' then the whole game will be in ruins soon.
Any club would feel aggreived by what went on yesterday.

They would. But if it had been given, it would have been just as controversial as it was far from clear that it went over (Although I think it probably did).
No mention of Brett Ferres's role in the outcome in the statement? He was more to blame than the ref.

I would suggest it was Brett Ferres that cost you the match, not the drop goal attempt.
I'm not sure Huddersfield have done themselves any favours by making this statement. I think they would have looked better as a club had they kept their counsel, perhaps just contacting the RFL quietly if they wanted feedback.

We've all had it from time to time though. In all sports. I still think Meli was in touch for Salford's last try in the last minute which took the game into golden point, which they of course won.
It's just sport. You live, move on. I don't think you can even conclusively say that the DG went over. One camera seems to suggest it did, one suggests it didn't.

| No, Brett's sending off cost us a man.....you don't get any points for it...that drop goal would have given us 1 point and with just over a minute left would have left it very hard for Saints to get back into it ...i think not allowing the drop goal actually had more impact than the red card as it cost us a match winning 1 point gap !!

| One angle it looks over and on another it looks wide. So surely if you feel robbed at it not being given, if it had have been given we could feel equally as robbed?

| Every Saints fan i spoke to yesterday said it was over and they couldn't believe it wasn't at least referred upstairs so judging by that i dont think they would have been so upset by it...it was more a goal than it wasn't, that is clear on any angle to see !!

Well, you didn't speak to me at the match. I hadn't a clue whether it had gone over or not when I was in the stadium ... and I still haven't a clue whether it went over or not, and that's having watched the TV recording back a few times as well!

Nonsense. How was it more a goal than it wasn't? Ridiculous statement.
I have seen two camera angles, on one it looks good, on the other it doesn't. If Bentham had gone to the video ref it would have probably been referred back to the referee's call seeing as the replays were inconclusive. So you wouldn't have got the decision anyway.
It was a 50/50 call that didn't go your way. There's no bias, no conspiracy and no need for talk of protests and other such ridiculous suggestions.
I've lost a lot of respect for Huddersfield over he last 24 hours. Clapping Ferres off the field, the reaction on here to the DG decision and finally the statement from Thewlis, it's all extremely embarrassing. The club as a whole has reacted pathetically.

| Hopefully Sky will clear it up for the BBC with a bit of tech. Does Phil Clarke have a twitter account? He'd find the answer.
