Quote Dita's Slot Meter="Dita's Slot Meter"Who's putting in the cash at HKR nowadays?.. have they had some new investment?'"
Had a full board takeover in the winter with a healthy contingent of no less than 6 board members (another to come later on in the year) with the existing chairman Neil Hudgell still on board putting money in. (In context his money alone kept us surviving at worst, competitive at best!)James Mcnicol is likely to be the money man behind these transfers I'd imagine
( https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/r ... ol-7919098). Some big ambitions labelled here such as wanting to watch one of the best in the land and putting money in to achieve this). All this with buying our own ground, having multiple revenue streams and some real money spinners in The Who/Rod Stewart concerts at Craven Park, off the pitch is certainly going well. The board have put it on record to do it smart though, rather than tossing money about. It's also been a well kept secret the resources we've got which is also smart..why put pressure on a new coach pre season talking the talk?
The potential is huge and you're right on the next page, it's great for the sport. I also like the statements from our board actively encouraging the sport as a whole to progress. They want competition as it would sharpen their own focus, there's no point doing all this in a poor sport they've said.

| Just remembered Chris Satae is still off contract next year (i think), Would be happy with him as a Musgrove replacement. I'd still keep Vaughan as i think he still offers plenty to the team.

| I thought the quota change was already in place for next year, i didn't realise it was still yet to be decided. It would free up Yates spot for us at least. I don't think it will be Green lit though to be honest as it creates an unfair competition in that respect. As say (for example) 10 team only have 7 overseas players but 2 have 9-10 potential overseas it can create a bigger gulf. The fact we're trying to create a more even playing field for a more competitive competition, this would go against this and create an even bigger imbalance.

Yes I would extend Vaughan. Still our best prop by a mile.

| Sorry if my posts are disjointed, but my posts and others posts keep disappearing and re-appearing, so it's all out of sync for me still.

| Absolutely agree, if the right deal can be reached between player and club where it doesn't effect the rest of our recruitment/retainment on the cap. I feel that is where we are still being hurt by a few massive salaries within the squad that's what is holding us back with bringing player in.
