Shame we couldn't keep him, he must have got a very lucrative contract to turn down premier league football.. he'd have been ideal coming off the bench when you need a goal or some more attacking threat and push back the opposition.. good player now imo, especially going forward.


Either way, he should go with all our best wishes, he's served us well and played fantastic last season. He'll go down in Leeds folklore imo.. great character.

Hmm.. seems like Newcastle seeing how far we will go - sounds like they want circa £15m. I think Leeds do right here, they're sending a clear message to other clubs that we won't over pay and we're tough negotiators.. gone are the days of silly money being spent. Just because a player is signed for £30m+, doesn't always mean they will be a success. Look at Aaronson (circa £29m and Rodrigo £29m).


However, saying that, sometimes you have just got to get business done, hopefully the midfield gets some quality in soon, we could do with 2 or 3 marquee signings.. it really will give us the edge. 


I see Sunderland bringing in that winger Adingra from Brighton, £22m+ agreed. Think they've spent £100m so far already if that comes off... they're being very aggressive, interesting to see how it goes. Joe Donaghue in YEP reckons Sunderland have a wedge of cash to spend as they've been so well run in the championship.
